We are always on the look-out for interesting new hepatitis
research and we regularly report on new publications, papers published in
peer-reviewed journals, and research presented at international conferences. Now
you can search through our archive of news reports for information that is
relevant to your area of interest using our new online tool.
How does it work?
Hepatitis treatment research often produces results that are
of particular relevance to people with certain characteristics. For example,
the hepatitis C virus has several different genotypes and some treatment works
better for some genotypes than others. Some studies only include people who have
never taken treatment before, whereas others include people who have taken
treatment before, or people with serious liver disease.
If you want to find information relevant to your situation,
or the situation of someone in your care, it can be daunting to search out the
studies that apply. That’s where our new tool comes in!
The
customisation tool sorts the information available on infohep.org using categories
which you can choose. These include:
- The type of hepatitis (A-E)
- Liver disease status
- Co-infection
- Genotype (for hepatitis C)
- Previous treatment experience
